Thania D. Vernon
Thania Vernon has been a driving force in the residential development segment of the South Florida market for the last 27 years. She has successfully marketed and sold millions of sq.ft of newly constructed high rise residential buildings, which have included both mixed-use and condo hotel components. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Fortune International, she oversaw all aspects of the development process from inception, including setting up sales centers, staffing sales and leasing departments and working with marketing and PR firms all the way to Certificate of Occupancy and closing stages. In addition too, she works with investors and Developers with land acquisition for future developments.
Ms. Vernon has worked on more than 30 different projects throughout her career including landmark towers as The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences on Brickell Avenue, the Grand Bay Towers on Key Biscayne, The Edge in West Palm Beach, the Carlyle on Ocean Drive, The Sonesta Mutiny Hotel in Coconut Grove and most recently 1o1 Residences on Key Biscayne.
Additionally, she has worked in all facets of the real estate business having brokered Fortune South Beach Realty which was a boutique brokerage firm offering full service brokerage services to the South of Fifth marketplace on South Beach.
She is a member of the Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate and Elite Realtor Designation. Ms. Vernon is a graduate form the Warrington School of Business at the University of Florida with degrees in Marketing and Computer Science.
Robert Vernon has been a Director with Fortune International Realty since 1994. Prior to committing full to real estate, Robert managed the landmark business Vernon’s Drugstore established in 1951 on the Island of Key Biscayne. Vernon is a highly accomplished individual with extensive background working with both the public sector and private sectors.
Mr. Vernon was Mayor of Key Biscayne from 2006-2010, and prior to that a Council Member and Vice Mayor since 2002. His strong leadership and management skills allowed his tenure to complete the Island’s largest capital improvement projects: completion of a $10M County Center and the $23M Sewer project both enhancing the quality of life for the Island as well as the noted rise of its real estate values. He oversaw a $24M annual budget and maintained the Village operations within the Charter mandated debt cap.
Mr. Vernon currently serves as the Manager of the Master Association for the Grand Bay Residences, Estates and Villas, Ritz Carlton Condo-Hotel and the Grand Bay Club on Key Biscayne. He is a graduate of St. Thomas University where he received a Business degree in Sports Management and Administration.
Both hold Florida Real Estate Broker Licenses and Community Association Manager (CAM) licenses. They have been trustees to both Key Biscayne and Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce as well as members to many local organizations and charities, Key Biscayne Community Foundation, the Historic Society and Sons of Legion to name a few.
